The Super Ability Crew

Led by young adults. Powered by ability.

The Super Ability Crew is a diverse group of young adults of all abilities, united in their mission to inspire one another, break down stigmas, and build a community where everyone truly belongs.

They run their own programs, show up for each other, and show the world what's possible when people with disabilities lead the way.

Meet Our Crew!

Super Ability Crew is comprised of lots of talented youth/adults who are living with disabilities, and individual needs.

Individually we are talented and unique, contributing so much love and passion to our amazing world!

Our Movement

At Super Ability Crew, we celebrate what makes each of us unique. Everyone has abilities and potential, and we want the world to see it.

We believe when employers, teachers, and communities open doors, people gain confidence and self-esteem. That’s when true opportunities grow.

Our focus is simple: connect, create, participate, inspire, learn, and motivate. Together, those things build leadership and growth. Not just in our group, but far beyond.

Belonging matters. That’s why one of our biggest goals is empowerment. When we stand together, we shine a light on everyone’s strengths, skills, and talents. And when that light shines, the whole community gets brighter.

Have you heard our theme song?

If not check it out below. It is sung by our live musician Jeffrey Ankenmann!

HALTON YOUTH DISABILITY ADVISORY COUNCIL

HYDAC, also known as the Halton Youth Disability Advisory Council is a youth council entirely run by people of all abilities.

Our goal is to encourage equal opportunities for all disabilities in everyday activities.

Our HYDAC members believe it’s vital  to build the capacity of youth, especially youth with disabilities, and making society more inclusive for all individuals.

FRIENDSHIP CONNECTION

Ever wish making friends came a little easier?

Friendship Connection is our hour-long program built by and for people with social disabilities, where games, prizes, and discovery do the talking so connection can happen naturally.

Learn something new about yourself and others, and leave with a few more friends than you came with!

COMMUNITY GARDEN

Gardening club for all of our green thumbs who want to heal the world!

We have our own community garden space where we grow, eat, learn and just enjoy the fresh fruits and veggies we decide to grow. As well as learning about the specific plants, we are learning about importance of pollinators and protecting our environment. This year one of our members is a part of the David Suzuki 'Butterflyway Ranger' Program.

Sustainability starts with healthy eating and self-sufficiency growing what need to survive and thrive!
