HYDAC Virtual Meeting - September

The September meeting of the Halton Youth Disability Advisory Council (HYDAC) brought members together for an evening filled with camaraderie, creativity, and community engagement. Here are the highlights from this month's meeting:

6:50 PM - Meet and Greet: The meeting commenced with a warm and friendly meet and greet session, allowing members to catch up and welcome new faces. It's always wonderful to see everyone's enthusiasm and camaraderie.

7:00 PM - Icebreaker: "Guess the Food Origin" To kick off the evening, an engaging icebreaker activity was organized. Participants were given the challenge of identifying the origin of various foods. This game not only tested our culinary knowledge but also sparked conversations about diverse cuisines from around the world.

HYDAC Success Report: 2022/2023 One of the most significant items on the agenda was the presentation and discussion of the HYDAC Success Report for the past year. This report showcased our group's achievements and highlighted our ongoing commitment to our community. We celebrated our milestones and discussed our goals for the upcoming year.

  • Hiking through Different Areas: Take advantage of the beautiful autumn scenery with family hikes.

  • Corn Maze Adventures: Challenge yourselves in a corn maze and work together to find your way out.

  • Picking Pumpkins: Visit a pumpkin patch and select the perfect pumpkins for carving or decorating.

  • Making Tomato Sauce: Try your hand at making homemade tomato sauce with fresh, seasonal tomatoes.

  • Fall Painting: Unleash your creativity with fall-themed art projects, capturing the beauty of the season on canvas.
